Before I done some digging on this matter, I would have bet my last dollar that Florida was the state with the most RV parks, on account of its warm weather and fine places to visit, and being the home of them full-time RV folks that can’t stand the cold. Or maybe California, with all its splendid sights and wonders. But I was wrong as a mule, for the state with the most RV parks is Texas, with a whopping 1400 (approximately) (According to the US Economic Census). That’s way more than the number of RV parks in Florida, which has 1169, and a bit more than California, which has about 1000. Now I reckon there are some seasoned RVers out there that knew Texas was the biggest, and good for them, but if you were to ask the common folk on the street, that is what they would tell you.

Although, you have to take these research numbers with a grain of salt for example, Florida has over 175 state parks but only 53 has RV hook-ups. In the private sector there are over 900 but that’s RV parks and campsites. So 1000 RV parks? Depending on your definition of an RV park and how you count them.
